Although the Association did not seem particularly active in the first half of 2026, behind the scenes it was preparing activities and events aimed at bringing us closer together, as well as promoting Greek culture in our host region.
In this context, we have launched a new initiative, which we aspire to repeat every two years. Wanting to complement the cultural activities of the city of Oldenburg, we inspired a new multicultural festival, following the logic of “Global Lokal”, which is organized by the Municipality every odd year.
For this first step, we sought out two additional associations, with the aim of expanding participation even further in the future. Our proposal for this new cultural festival received the official support and assistance of the Municipality of Oldenburg.
The name of the festival, which was decided jointly, is “KulturKarawane Oldenburg 2026”. It is co-organized by our Association, the Alevi Community of Oldenburg, and the German-Polish Association. Our goal is not for each group to organize separate events, but to show what real cooperation means by jointly creating a celebration open to the society in which we live.

Where do we need your help starting now?
A festival like this requires organization, cooperation, and the participation of all of us. You can help directly and at no cost:
- Send us photos from your place of origin. We are looking for authentic street photography – not tourist images or postcards, but everyday moments, people, neighborhoods, and landscapes.
- Come to rehearsals and meetings. Preparations have already begun, and we will be delighted to sing all together.
- Share your ideas. If you have a proposal that can be integrated into the festival planning, now is the right time to discuss it. .
Anyone wishing to help with the organization, setup, or in any other way can send us a message or contact the Board of Directors directly.
The success of this endeavor depends on all of us. We want you by our side!
With the support:
